The lemonade lead the charge. I’m pretty sure the scotch eggs were in on it, though.

Scotch eggs are my next culinary adventure. Pretty excited to make some and try them out.

I’ve made ‘em with regular sausage and turkey sausage. Oddly enough, the turkey sausage was the best

Turkey sausage seems to be hit or miss for me.

Where they always are: in the airing cupboard, because I forgot to bring them with me. It does save me buying bin bags, though.
I’m a part-time supermarket cashier, so I spend pretty much my entire working day asking people if they want/have bags. Doesn’t seem to help me remember myself, though.

I made my own using ground turkey and loosely following this recipe . After chilling overnight and making scotch eggs for a big party, the general consensus was “this is better than pork sausage”
I substituted the allspice (didn’t have any on hand) for extra fennel and it came out delicious

I love them, but I’ve never tried to actually make them at home.

so I switched to reusables myself a while ago, but it took me nearly a year to consistently remember to bring the damned things into the store from the car.
recently I’ve noted I do need to do about 1 in every 20 shopping trips without them so I too can get grocery bags for my garbage :D

Where did you buy them? My dad knows this caterer who makes them when he throws a party, but I don’t know where I can just roll up and order a bunch.

I live in the UK; scotch eggs are available pretty much everywhere here. I generally just get them from my local supermarket.

I’ve never heard of Scotch Eggs before. I feel like I’ve been missing something special here!

Picture a hard boiled egg, covered in a case of sausage meat, with breadcrumbs around the outside. If that sounds appealing, go find some!

They aren’t readily available in the states looks like I’ll need to make my own. Challenge accepted.

Oh, I’m on board with the program! I just downloaded a couple of recipes, I want to try making the Worcestershire version.

I too have been reading about scotch eggs over the past several days. I need them in my life and/or mouth.

I’ll make some this weekend and report back.

I don’t know, it might help with the cuisine. Tbe most amazing altered leftover barbecue I’ve ever prepared was while drunk. I know this because I also tasted it sober, as did a concurring friend.

I was gonna say that everything tastes amazing while drunk. One time I baked bread while drunk. I may have forgotten to add things or let it rise but damned if we didn’t eat it all.
